Forensic Investigation

Bright Forensics can provide experts in the forensic examination of electronic equipment. They can work on or offsite whilst complying with all the appropriate standards and guidelines such as the ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) guidelines for data acquisition.

Our clients enjoy working with an agency that maintains complete confidentiality (not even case studies on our web site) whilst benefiting from more reasonable costs than the major Home Counties based agencies. Our reports are written in plain English and provide evidence in a clear, non-technical manner.

Corporate

With more job roles requiring the use of a computer the opportunity for misuse resulting in company loss has never been greater. This could include:

  • Data being passed to a competitor
  • Financial fraud
  • Dual working - where an employee is working for 2 organisations at once
  • Downloading of pornography and other inappropriate material
  • Harassment and discrimination cases

We are able to work with you to examine computer and other electronic equipment to find evidence to support or contradict a suspicion of wrongdoing. We can then provide expert witnesses for any legal or tribunal proceedings.

In many cases though the requirement is just to secure evidence to enable an employees contract to be terminated without fear of reprisals. The cost of using us to find evidence is usually a fraction of the legal and often, settlement costs that can be accrued, even when you are in the right.

Legal

As a legal professional you will be aware of the possibilities that electronic evidence can provide your client. With computers, mobile phones and other electronic devices being a ubiquitous item in the home and workplace many cases will involve evidence from these devices.

Computers often allow an investigator to recreate long deleted data and create a timeline of activity, which could involve internet use, emails sent or documents created. This type of evidence can often be used successfully in both prosecution and defence matters.

Evidence from mobile phones should also be considered part of many cases as deleted text messages or received/made call data can be gathered and verified.
